Sporting Clays Course- The Mountain Course
Sporting Clays is described as golf with a gun. The Mountain Course at Kairos consists of 12 stations, each station has two traps. Participants will shoot 8 to 10 targets at each station. Targets are thrown to emulate hunting scenarios. From start to finish the shooter will have shot a total of 100 targets.
12 gauge shotguns or smaller can be used, as long as it can fire at least two shells. Shot size 7 1/2 and smaller can be used. Ammo and shotguns are available for a fee.
Groups and team building outings are welcome!
Target fee $ .50 non-members; $ .35 members

NEW! 5-Stand at Kairos
Shooters are now welcome to enjoy our enclosed 5-Stand at Kairos! 5-Stand is a condensed version of sporting clays. Consisting of 5 stations and 8 traps. Each shooter is provided with five targets at each station, for a total of 25 targets.
Our 5-Stand can be shot all year long in any weather condition. Groups and team building outings are welcome!
Gun rentals and ammo available.

Directions to Kairos Mountain Course & Clays:
Traveling 460 West from Blacksburg stay on Route 460 to Glen Lyn turn right on Elgood Mountain Rd. Travel 1 mile turn right onto Shumate Falls Rd. Travel 2.5 miles to the Kairos Clay Shooting Course. The Clay Shooting Course is .5 mile past the main entrance to Kairos Resort.
Traveling from 460 East from Princeton take your first left after crossing Virginia line onto Elgood Mountain Rd and follow same direction above.
